My Best Friend Convinced Me to Go Solar in Punjab. Here’s Why It’s the Best Decision:


Why was solar his first choice?

Mr. Naresh Kumar Judeja owns a commercial factory in Zirakhpur District, Punjab. He converted his commercial factory and turned it into a godown that he is now planning to lease out. How does a solar PCU work?

During the day the solar panels would product DC electricity from the sun rays falling on the panels. This uncontrolled DC power is passed through the Solar PCU that would convert this DC power received from the panels into controlled power best suited for charging the battery bank and also run the load simultaneously by converting DC to AC.


To run the load through the power stored in the batteries, the PCU would convert this DC power to AC power, since the appliances run on AC power. As the load runs the batteries get discharged. And the cycle repeats.

Units generated and load running

The 2KW solar panel generates approximately 8 to 12 units per day depending on the weather conditions. The system runs the following load that includes 20 Lights (28W) + 4 Fans (65W) = 820W.

The system is working in perfect condition and Mr. Naresh is very pleased with the outcome.
