My Best Friend Convinced Me to Go Solar in Punjab. Here’s Why It’s the Best Decision:

Why was solar his first choice?

Mr. Naresh Kumar Judeja owns a commercial factory in Zirakhpur District, Punjab. He converted his commercial factory and turned it into a godown that he is now planning to lease out. Naresh had experienced shortage of power in this factory and decided before leasing it out to anyone he should ensure that enough electricity is available.

District Zirakhpur is occupied with a population of 95,553 people who are struggling with the issue of lack of proper electricity lines in that area. Naresh wondered how he could solve his electricity problem and therefore approached his closet childhood friend, Mr. Khan (Su-Kam’s dealer in Zirakhpur).

Mr. Khan understood the problem and made a site inspection. Soon after that he advised his best friend Naresh to install Su-Kam’s solar powered system. Mr. Khan explained to him how installed Solar PCU along with a strong back up system in his godown would not only provide electricity at all times it would also reduce his bills.

This district approximately receives 13 hours of day light every day. Installing a solar system in this area was a perfect solution and so Mr. Khan installed the following system in his friend’s godown:

Technical specifications

  1. Su-Kam’s solar PCU– 2KVA/48V
  2. Su-Kam Solar Panels– 250W/24V (8 in number)
  3. Battery bank- 150AH (4 in number)

How does a solar PCU work?

During the day the solar panels would product DC electricity from the sun rays falling on the panels. This uncontrolled DC power is passed through the Solar PCU that would convert this DC power received from the panels into controlled power best suited for charging the battery bank and also run the load simultaneously by converting DC to AC.

To run the load through the power stored in the batteries, the PCU would convert this DC power to AC power, since the appliances run on AC power. As the load runs the batteries get discharged. And the cycle repeats.

Units generated and load running

The 2KW solar panel generates approximately 8 to 12 units per day depending on the weather conditions. The system runs the following load that includes 20 Lights (28W) + 4 Fans (65W) = 820W.

The system is working in perfect condition and Mr. Naresh is very pleased with the outcome.

Mr. Khan says ‘I have been working in the inverter business for 25 years. Naresh is my close friend almost a family member to me now. He came to me with a request to advise him with the best solar system available in the market now and I suggested that he should go for Su-Kam. I hope to work exclusively with sukam products since they are in high demand because of their high efficiency and performance. The system installed is perfectly sized according to their requirements. We hope to carry out more of such solar installations in Punjab and solarize all of Punjab very soon.’

We are glad to see another happy solar customer in India. Going solar has never been easier. What are you waiting for?
