Image

Su-Kam, the leading manufacturers of power back up systems(UPS, inverters, batteries and power docs) has brought many innovations in technology that have made their products reliable and user friendly. One of the latest innovations is the inclusion of remote monitoring in their products.

Remote monitoring is a new technology that has been incorporated in many of Su-Kams power back up systems. This allows the customers to communicate with the systems and also monitor the performance of the system from the customers location either through computers or mobile phones. These provide the data about the systems performance to the customers that helps them to plan the maintenance of the system and also prevent or deal with any malfunctions with the system.

The software provides graphs and logs about the systems performance and helps increase the life and efficiency of the system. It has an alarm system that sends an alert to the user through email or SMS in case of low power or other critical issues that can be than solved remotely which reduces the dependency on maintenance staff. It also allows remote hardware settings without the need to attend to the system.

All in all the use of remote monitoring technology in Su-Kam power back up products, will make it easier for the customers to manage their energy consumption through power back up and save up on electric bills anytime , anywhere.

Su-Kam : Empowering Rural India with “Kisan Inverter”

Image

About 80 per cent of the Indian population lives in villages.  In 40% of electrified rural Indian households, the average power cuts are of 14-16 hours per day, causing immense problems and inconvinience. With a noble thought to facilitate rural India with a power back solution, Su-Kam has developed the “Kisan Inverter”, using state-of-the art micro-controller based digital technology and FLC (Fuzzy Logic Control) based battery charger.

The Su-Kam Kisan Inverter can be connected to the existing automobile battery in any vehicle like a tractor and this will allow the user to run most household appliances like tube lights, fans, CFL, TV etc and at the same time it will be economical enough to fit the farmer’s spending capacity

This is a very cost-effective product, as the customer need not spend money to buy a separate inverter battery. Farmers can now run their home appliances in case of power cuts and the same battery can be used to start the tractor.

Su-Kam executes Solar Project at the Gates Institute of Technology, Gooty, Andhra Pradesh

In this context, one of its most significant solar projects has been enabled by Su-Kam for an entire educational institution, the Gates Institute of Technology, an engineering college for 1400 students,  to free itself from dependence on the electricity grid. This institute is located at Gooty is a small town 300 km. south of Hyderabad, where the grid supply is very poor.

The Su-Kam team got into action and installed a 100 KW bidirectional rooftop solar power plant. The design, engineering and installation were all done in-house. From March 2011, when the solar power plant was commissioned, the Gates Institute has been running solely on solar power, with zero dependence on the electric grid. The positive impact on the environment is enormous.

Su-kam Managing Director sharing his thoughts in ICICI Trinity curtain raiser Film

“TRINITY” is a program launched by ICICI, to encourage the culture of innovation & entrepreneurship in the young generation.
“Trinity” will give students a platform to give their ideas life and possibly become successful entrepreneurs. Trinity will go beyond just idea generation and will drive application of these ideas to uncork their potential in the real world.
In essence, Trinity is a union of Ideation – Prototype – Entrepreneurship.
Ideation: A lot of good ideas die down for a lack of a good platform. Trinity aims to be just the platform for ideas that students seek
Prototype: A good idea needs to be tested, developed and nurtured so that it can have the opportunity to change the world. Trinity will create a ecosystem within to support application of ideas
Entrepreneurship: A good idea can reach the world through financial support of people/companies who see potential in it.
