Powercuts in Bihar Made Big FM Go For Online UPS!

The reliance broadcasting network has recently opened a Big FM office in Bihar. This radio office has sensitive equipment that requires the continuous power supply to run smoothly.

The area that this office is located does not experience frequent powercuts. However, since this office had the sensitive equipment and it required the nonstop power supply in case of emergency, the management decided to get a battery backup system that would provide 15 mins of backup in case of emergency.

And so the reliance broadcasting network approached Su-Kam’s authorized distributor in Mumbai and asked to install the perfect online UPS for this office in Bihar.

Su-Kam’s online UPS ranges from 1KVAto 100KVA and is designed and developed to provide uninterrupted power supply to small and large scale enterprises that make it an excellent power backup option for areas affected by frequent powercuts.

Why Should You Choose An Online UPS?

The reason why an online UPS is called ‘online’ is because the batteries are ‘always’ connected to UPS so power transfers are not required. As in, no power transfer from mains mode to battery mode or battery mode to mains mode. So we can say there is zero change over time. But how is that useful? The online UPS is perfect for equipment that are highly sensitive to power switches. They shut down and cannot resume normal functioning in the situation of power transfers from mains to battery mode and vice versa.

A generator will lose its efficiency with time. They need periodic maintenance from authorized agencies which costs a lot more. On the other hand, you don’t really have to worry about that with an online UPS. Just install and forget.

Then our authorized distributor from Mumbai arranged the installation in Bihar, giving responsibility to our qualified engineer Mr. Rakesh. After understanding their load requirements, Rakesh and 3 expert service engineers installed the following:

Technical Specifications:

  1. Su-Kam’s Online UPS – 20KVA/360v
  2. Battery 64 Ah (30 in number – for 15 mins backup)

Load Running On Online UPS

These two Online UPS systems have been installed to run sensitive equipment like static speakers, broadcasting machines, transmitters etc. The installation was a massive success.

Our qualified service engineer says, ‘We have installed Su-Kam’s online UPS at this FM office after understanding their load requirements. That area does not experience frequent powercuts. They just required battery backup of 15 mins in a case of any emergency. We were happy to help them through the entire installation process.’

We are glad to be of assistance to Big FM RBN.

After much consideration and demand for online UPS in the market, Su-Kam has recently launched all exclusive solar online UPS. Watch this video to understand how it works:
