The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India organized India’s first Renewable Energy Global Investors Meet & Expo (RE-Invest) in Delhi to take forward PM Shri. Modi’s initiative, ‘Make in India’ for attracting investment in the renewable sector. Su-Kam was proud to be associated with the event.
Su-Kam’s stall at RE-Invest got a lot of attention from our new customers, Government officials, existing customers, and the Power Minister himself – we couldn’t have asked for more. A look at these great pictures will tell you why our stall was so popular at the event. We put together a nice display of our our solar products like Solarcon (an innovative equipment which can convert any ordinary inverter into solar inverter), solar DC systems, Grid-Tie inverters, Off-grid inverters, solar home lighting etc.
When Shri. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Power and Energy, visited our stall he was very impressed to see our solar DC systems. In particular, our remote controlled DC system ,through which he could switch on a fan using a remote, completely floored him. He was also very happy to know that Su-Kam home lighting system is powering 40,000 households in Uttar Pradesh under UP Govt’s Lohia Grameen Awaas Yojna. He even asked us if we are ready to light 1 crore homes in India – we of course said ‘yes’ to that. Our comparison tool kit, which compares electronic devices to gauge its efficiency and money saved, also intrigued him. Su-Kam’s comparison tool kit is first of its kind in India.
We must tell you that our Honorable Minister of Energy, Mr. Piyush has a good sense of humor. While he was viewing a video presentation of our UP project on our i-pad he jokingly asked if the i-pad also comes with the DC package. Everyone shared a good laugh over this.
This event was flagged by Honorable PM Shri. Modi to strengthen his ‘Make in India’ initiative, and Su-Kam is definitely one of the most successful examples of indigenous business. Mr. Piyush Goel aslso remarked that he feels glad to see an Indian company like Su-Kam doing so well in the field of renewable energy.
“In this age of globalisation, we have no option but to make a quantum leap in energy production and connectivity,” said Modi during inauguration of the event. “Fruits of development will not reach the common man until energy connectivity reaches every last household of the country.” We totally agree with him and are trying our best to provide electricity access to as many Indians as possible. Our MD, Kunwer Sachdeva, has said in a public statement that Su-Kam is considering to set up NBFC (non-banking finance company) to aid lower-income groups who can’t afford to buy inverters.
We’re very thankful to the organizers of the event for providing us with an excellent platform to reach out to more people who are interested in green energy. To everyone who visited our stall, thank you for your support.
Let’s so solar with Su-Kam
