Rajnish is today a Product Manager with Su-Kam Power Systems Limited, a position he attained through sheer dint of hard-work and unrelenting perseverance. He had joined Su-Kam in 2002 and did his Diploma in Telecommunications from IASE University in 2002. In 2010 Rajnish went on to acquire a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from IASE University, Rajasthan.
Upon joining the Company Rajnish worked in the Research and Development department with special focus on the consumer segment. At that time the Company was engrossed in the production of small inverters, as power-backup at the small consumer level was still a sunrise sector in India. The Company and Rajnish were to grow concurrently through breakthroughs in digital & sine wave home ups, solar power and power backup systems, solar power conditioning units etc.

His principle contribution to the Company’s incisive march in product innovation lies in the development of back-up systems for household consumers. A major landmark in this context was the development of the Brainy series of solar ups in 2012, which stands out in the market as a product that utilises the hybrid amalgamation of solar power and grid supply. The product was both novel and pioneering in altering the power cost patterns for consumers and in being delicate on the environment. Brainy inverters are a component of the Rainbow Series of inverters launched by the company of which Cosmic and Smiley form the remaining two ends of the triumvirate. Rajnish’s principle contribution was towards the development of the Brainy solar ups and in this his indelible mark of involvement can be traced from start to finish.

Subsequently Rajnish joined the Sales Department of the Company as a Product Manager and has been working with the service team. He feels that Su-Kam has provided technical leadership in the Indian Power Back-up sector with its incessant churning of innovative products woven around the latest technology available globally. Nevertheless, he feels that the market could do with a more aggressive approach towards technology and innovation.
In this pursuit Rajnish constantly conducts dealer-meetings to acquaint and educate the Company’s principle source of customer interface about its latest products and innovations. In July 2013 he conducted no less than nine dealer and technician meets to channelize the shared knowledge of both sides into the avenues of productivity.
Rajnish is of the opinion that the market today is highly sceptical of novel innovations and products and that it takes a high degree of convincing to get the products through to a cynical cliental. Assuaging the safety concerns of buyers constitutes of one the most demanding challenges to his role as a Product Manager. Currently Rajnish looks after the sales of home UPS and normal inverters in the range of 100VA to 2.5 KVA all over India and in seventeen countries abroad. The Company ventured into solar products in 2009 and at time no one in Su-Kam had much of inkling about the possible customer response. Development of solar-based products was a major challenge for Rajnish and others involved in the research and development aspects.
Despite being honoured with numerous awards and recognitions for incisive performance, Rajnish continues to be a down-to-earth crusader for excellence. He has been awarded the ‘Best Employee Award’ in R&D on five occasions and received a formal “Pat-On-The –Back” from the Company for enthusiastic and energetic participation in the tasks assigned.
Having mentioned all this, it must be added for good measure that Rajnish is not just a ‘one-trick-pony’ in life. He is also a passionate social worker and has executed many welfare projects in his colony of residence in Gurgaon. In fact his leadership traits find proper vent in his position of Presidency of his colony RWA, wherein he has been instrumental in facilitating the laying of roads, the erection of power-related facilities and the upkeep of sanitation and general-hygiene standards in and around the vicinity.
Rajnish envisions the Company further consolidating its technical dominance of the market and vows to work harder for constant betterment.
