Why I Decided to Run My Manufacturing Plant on Solar?

A New Reason to Go Solar!

Mr. Blagaan owns a sanitary hardware manufacturing house called the Marble house in Zirakhpur District, Punjab. The area where this place is located does not experience much power cuts and also Mr. Blagaan was comfortable with his electricity bills.

Mr. Blagaan has a friend who lives in Ludhiana District in Punjab. And recently he installed a 20KW solar system in his petrol pump. Mr. Blagaan and his wife frequently meet them and when his friend installed a solar system in his petrol pump, Mr. Blagaan was very fascinated.

Blagaan and his friend would frequently sit beside the inverter in the evenings and understand how the solar inverter was working. They would read on the display of the inverter how much power the sun generated today and how much was used to run the load. They would understand the wiring and the battery charge-discharge process.

In the process of all this, Blagaan was very inspired and wanted one for his manufacturing house too! After a few days, Blagaan contacted Mr. Kuldeep (Su-Kam’s authorized distributor who also installed the 20KW solar system in his friend’s house in Ludhiana). He told Mr. Kuldeep that he wanted to turn his manufacturing house into a solar powered station!

Zirakhpur district approximately receives 11 hours 50 mins of daylight every day in this month of March, installing a solar system in this area was a perfect solution.

Kuldeep has been dealing with solar system installations for a while now and after careful inspection of the Blagaan’s Marble House, he and his team of qualified engineers gave the following suggestions:

 Technical Specifications:

  1. Su-Kam’s Colossal Inverter – 7.5KVA/120V
  2. Solar Charge Controller – 120V/60amps – PWM
  3. Su-Kam’s Solar Panels – 5KW
  4. Su-kam’s Batteries – 10 (150AH)

Units Generated and Load Running

The 5KW solar panel generates approximately 25 units per day depending on the weather conditions. The system runs most of the load in this Marble House that essentially includes 2 air conditioners, 15 LED lights, and 2 fans. Mr. Blagaan is extremely happy seeing his manufacturing house turn into a solar powered station.

After the installation, we spoke to Kuldeep and he says, ‘We have installed a 7.5KVA inverter with solar panels and charge controller that will ensure proper battery charging and is designed to run the full load. They used grid power to run their load before and this area experienced fewer power cuts and they did not face much problem. Mr. Blagaan was simply fascinated by the concept of solar power seeing his friend in Ludhiana install a 20KW solar project, that he wanted one for his own place.’

It is a pleasure to see people really believing in solar power. We are glad to see another happy solar customer in India. Going solar has never been easier.
